3446.1Nature's Miracle ProductsSMURF::S_FRASERC'mon everybody! Smurf's up!Wed Mar 21 1990 11:5127

This seemed to be a reasonable place to put this. Yesterday I received
an Ecco Bella catalogue in the mail. This company specializes in all
natural and cruelty free products. Plus, 20% of their profits are
donated to animals rights and environmental organizations (so the order
    form states).

The page that caught my eye had a picture of two Siamese cats on it
(naturally) :^} The ad was for Nature's Miracle products, and since
the odor remover has been discussed in here, I thought Noters might be
interested in a couple of other items. Through this catalogue you can
buy Nature's Miracle cat litter treatment, a dry form of the liquid
odor remover. A 5oz. trial size bag is $3.35, and a 2lb. bag is
$13.00. The stain and odor remover sells for $10.75 a quart. But the
best item by far, especially for us squeamish ones, is Nature's Miracle
Pet Mess Easy Clean Up. This is designed for the wet presents that our
cats leave us from time to time. Apparently, you just sprinkle it on
the (yuk) mess, and then vacuum it away! The blurb in the ad reads:
"Millions of absorbant (sic) sponge flakes turn liquid mess into a dry
material which you can easily vacuum or sweep up." Now, I thought,
this is for me! :^} This stuff sells for $10.75/12oz.

Anyway, the phone number for orders is 1-800-888-5320. They accept M/C
and Visa, and all products are guaranteed 100%.

3446.2Sounds a bit expensiveFSHQA1::RKAGNOA Cat Makes a Purrfect FriendWed Mar 21 1990 12:0214
Sandy, I have tried the Pet Mess Clean-up, and unless I'm doing
it wrong, am not pleased with the results. $10.75 for a quart of
Natures Miracle Stain and Odor Remover is also expensive; I paid $4.75
for a quart through the Animal City Catalog.

The best product I have found so far for cleaning up carpet messes
is called No Stain Carpet Stain and Odor Remover. I like it better
than the Natures Miracle. This, coupled with Woolite Rug and
Upholstery Cleaner, are the only products that removed the urine
stain Kirby so generously left on the carpet.

Hi Roberta - yeah, I thought it was a bit high, too, having read in
here that a big bottle of Nature's Miracle went for around $9. The
only reason I mentioned it was because I hadn't heard about the other
two products. Too bad about the Pet Mess stuff, though - I knew it
    sounded too good to be true! :^}

Where did you find the 'No Stain'? Is it available in So. NH? I
usually use warm water and then a rug cleaner similar to the Woolite.
Luckily(?), I seem to get only vomit piles.

I purchase the No-Stain through the Cherrybrook Catalog. Cherrybrook
is located in New Jersey, 800-524-0820.

Maybe the pet mess really does work; I'm not one for patience.
The bottle does say to wait awhile before cleaning up the mess.
I just like to get it off the carpet as quickly as possible!

California Vet Supply sells the gallon size of Nature's Miracle
for $19.99, plus you get an additional discount if your order goes
over a certain dollar amount (can't remember the amount now).

With the current price of a quart of Nature's Miracle going for
about $6.90 around here now, the gallon looks like the answer for
me. I remember when no one new anything about this stuff, and it
was only $3.00 a bottle. And I am not that old, this was just a
    few years ago! :^)

The best product I have found so far is ordinary Bicarbonate of
Soda (the stuff you use in baking). Sprinkle it on the wet patch
and watch the powder soak it up. It removes the stain and the smell.
Leave it to dry and then sweep it up.

My vet suggested this and it really does work - it's also much cheaper
    than any 'branded' product.

    Try it yourself and see!

3446.7Natures Miracle or F.O.N. ?BAGELS::MATSISTue Sep 04 1990 13:5414
Has anyone tried F.O.N. (Feline Odor Neutralizer)? It's available
at the vets. $8.00 for a 6 or 8 oz spray bottle. Seemed kind of
expensive to me. I think Ziggy may have started to spray. There has
been an odor by the front door. I have seen him squat there a couple
of times. He just turned 6 months old today and he is at the vets
    getting neutered.

Does F.O.N. or Natures Miracle work better? Does anyone know where I
can buy Natures Miracle in Nashua, NH and how much it costs?

If Ziggy has started to spray, will he continue even after being neutered at
    a young age?

    Thanks, Pam
3446.8Let me know where I can buy it, please!ICS::GERRYHome is where the Cat isTue Sep 04 1990 19:4912
    Pam,

I used to use F.O.N. all the time....loved the stuff! But, I just
can't seem to find it anymore. Martha Kruger (Haddleigh House) used to
sell it but said she doesn't carry it anymore because the price had
    gone up so much.

I've never used Nature's Miracle, so I can't compare for you, but I
know the F.O.N. was great stuff.

You could buy Natures Miracle at the Blue Seal feed store on
Canal street in Nashua. Why not call them first to see if they
    still have it?

Dr Pet also carried it but it was so expensive.

I bought the Nature's Miracle at Blue Seal. $4.70 for 16 oz.
It was $8.00 for 8 oz of the F.O.N. at the Vets.

I used it and there is no more odor.

I brought Ziggy home last night and he was VERY groggy. Didn't
look too good. Looks better this morning but still very quiet.
As soon as you go near him, he starts purring up a storm.

    Thanks for the info.
