3432.0. "Help With Cat Placement" by SPICES::MCGOVERN (Szechuan Vanilla) Mon Mar 19 1990 11:59

    	Susan (DECspouse) and I have two nice cats we'd like to "place"
    	for the next year while we live with roomates who are allergic. (It
    	saves us rent, so it's worth doing.)

    	Dominique: 3 1/2 years old, spayed female, long-hair,
    	indoor/outdoor, nice but a bit timid, loves to be patted.

    	Aloysius: 2 1/2 years old, neutered male, short hair, indoor cat
    	(who is just now investigating the Great Outdoors), really nice,
    	loves to be patted.

    	Susan and I are willing to help with food, etc. during the year.
    	Our intent is to place 'Wishes and 'Neeks so that we won't lose
    	them (which we'd do if we gave them to a shelter.)

        Please contact me at DTN 291-0099, SPICES::MCGOVERN, or
    	CONCRT::MCGOVERN for further information.

3432.1How about a kennel?BOOVX1::MANDILEMon Mar 19 1990 12:485
    Have you thought about boarding at a local kennel? You might
    be able to get special rates for that amount of time.

    Be aware that if you do bring them to a regular shelter, especially
    now during kitten season they will very likely be put to sleep.
     Perhaps your roommates could take allergie medicine. That's
    what my husband does.

    In the meantime, I'll keep my eyes and ears open for a 1 yr foster
    home for your kitties.
      Good luck
       Nancy DC
