3399.0. "CFA BREED STATISTICS" by WR2FOR::CORDESBRO_JO (set home/cat_max=infinity) Wed Mar 07 1990 18:00
For those of you that may be interested, the March issue of the
CFA Almanac contained registration information for the period of
January 1, 1989 through December 31, 1989.
For example, in the Birman breed (gee, wonder why I chose that breed?)
the stats were:
chocolate point males 4
chocolate point females 1
seal point males 230
seal point females 325
blue point males 137
blue point females 216
lilac point males 1
lilac point females 4
for a total of 918!! for 1989
For the year of 1988, there were 731, so we are growing.
Okay, so now, I am sure you are all wondering why I would enter
stuff like this. Well, the Alamanc also lists all the breeds by
registrations, so if any of you want to know how many of something,
I will try and find time to look it up and enter it for you.
Also, here is the list of breeds, ranked by number of registered,
or popularity if you see it that way.
