3382.0. "OK. Who live near Boston?" by SUBURB::GLOVERP (Mothballs and Tanglefoot) Mon Mar 05 1990 07:15

    Does anyone live in Boston or near?

    I'm visiting the DECworld convention in July and I thought I'tll
    be a good excuse to extend the trip for a week and visit a few people
    and maybe take a few of you up on the offer of a drink or two?

3382.1I work at Dec-Boston!BOOVX2::MANDILEMon Mar 05 1990 12:4916
    Phil,

    Why don't all the noters get together to set up a "Drink/Meeting
    place" with you? When will you actually be in Boston? I'm at the
    Dec-Boston plant, so I wouldn't have any problem meeting you. Most
    of the other noters are 30-45 minutes (minimum), not counting rush
    hour travel, from Boston.

    Noters? How about this? Would this be OK with you? Phil, is this
    OK with you?

    I'd sure like to meet the guy who thinks my bunnies are stew! (haha)

    Gee, July 10th - by then Nancy and I might have our yard in condition
    for a FELINER get-together. We live in Braintree, which is about 20
    minutes southeast of Boston.

    YA! If we're still living in Braintree in July then we'll have
    a FELINER "Salute to Phil Glover" Party. We can all dress up
    in commando outfits in honor of the terrible trio.

    re: Brain-tree No, I have no idea of the origin but it is
    an interesting one to think about, eh?

    re: bringing kitties - Wish I could say yes, but I don't think
    the crew would be too happy so I guess you have to bring them
    in pictures.  :-)

    re Braintree - actually, asking Phil probably makes more sense.
    I have a feeling that Braintree is another one of those colonial
    towns that has a sister town in England (or somewhere else in the UK).

3382.10ESSEXXNOGOV::LISAWed Mar 07 1990 12:036
    Yup, there's a Braintree in ESSEX, UK.

    Um-hmm. I thought so.

    Down the street from Braintree is a little crossroads (almost big
    enough to be a village) called "Assinippi". Bet there isn't one
    of THEM in Essex.

    Looks like the weekend of 7/14-15 would be the best time. I'm
    partial to Saturday, but if Sunday is better for folks we could
    do it then. Let me know. God knows you guys have plenty of time
    to mark your calendars!!!!!!!!
