3098.0. "Concord Adopt-A-Cat " by MICLUS::MTAG () Fri Dec 01 1989 12:23

    Last week in the Westford Eagle there was a real nice article on
    Concord Adopt-A-Cat. Unfortunately, before I could enter the article
    in this notes, the paper went up in flames in the fireplace. Did
    anyone else see this article? It mentioned that there were Christmas
    cards for sale that would benefit the shelter. I'd like to buy some
    but don't know who to call. I met the woman who runs the shelter at
    the Framingham show in September and have since lost her card. (She
    had some beautiful kitties for adoption.) Can anyone provide me her
    name and number? I'd like to buy some of the Christmas cards.

    Thanks,
    Mary

        YES!!!
        Phone is 508-369-9487
      The lady you want to talk to is Mrs. Morway.

      She usually has around 60-70 cats, and I think she also has a
    "satellite" operation in Littleton or Tewksbury.

      Flo Morway is a super dedicated person. I got my "Cookie" from her...
    (see a previous note somewhere around June-July timeframe)

      BTW......Concord Adopt-a-Cat is a qualified Digital "Matching Gift"
     Charity.........

    Lenora Palmer (dlnvax::palmer) is also associated with Framingham
    Humane and will be delighted to hear from someone who wants to
    adopt kittens. Please do not call her about surrendering a kitten.

    Wait, wait... I can't have any more cats!!! I have 3 already plus I'm
    feeding a stray (who finally let me touch him/her last night). I was
    just interested in the Christmas cards.

    Thanks for the replies though. I will give Adopt-A-Cat a call and
    inquire about the cards.

3098.4I found the cardsMICLUS::MTAGMon Dec 04 1989 13:1911
    I went to the Westford Academy Christmas bazaar this past weekend and
    there was someone there selling the Christmas cards I want for
    Adopt-A-Cat. The cost is normally $8 for 10 cards. The proceeds go to
    Littleton Animal Hospital for the health care of the Adopt-A-Cat cats,
    and I think what is left over goes to the actual shelter. The cards
    are on a good quality parchment colored paper with red designs which
    are mostly cats and I saw one dog design. Inside, they either have a
    Merry Christmas greeting or a Happy Holiday greeting.
