| Boy that sounds like fun, travelling around with your cat(s).
We've been leashing our crew for a long time. Now all I have
to do is put their harnesses on and open the door. The all
tumble out and start milling around while I run around and
hook them up to their leashes.
Mao is the only one who will walk on the leash and we take
her for walks through the conservation land behind the house.
We took her out last Sunday and she was so excited she started
running down the path. Jack jogged along behind her, leash in
hand and all went fine until she stopped with no warning and
jack almost ran over her. Fortunately he jumped in time.
Then she decided that she was enjoying this so much that she'd
just bring some home for the rest of the group. She started
rolling and rolling and rolling in the dirt, purring and "Maoing"
the whole time.
Its so much fun....and our neighbors must think we're nutz!!
Nice t know we're not the only ones.

| We have a wilderness park near our home that we used to take Winston
to all the time. We would put on his harness and leash, pack the
carrier, food and water, and a stake that you put into the ground.
He had a ten foot chain to hook to his leash. We would camp out
for the day, picnic, go for walks on the trails through the woods,
and stuff like that. We would set up his carrier as a type of shelter
or bed for him.
Once, we had just come back from a walk, and Winston climbed into
the carrier for a nap. A squirrel decided that his cat food looked
too good to resist, so he slowly crept closer and closer. Suddenly,
Winston woke up and went tearing after the squirrel. Luckily, Ken
grabbed Winston before he got to the end of his chain, and before
he caught the squirrel. It would probably have hurt Winston to
be jerked back by the harness at the speed he was going.
Be sure to not leave your cats unattended if they are tied to a
leash. Also, don't tie them near any trees, as was previously
mentioned, they could hang themselves with the leash.
