2907.0. "new arrivals - eta 10/30/89" by DNEAST::FIRTH_CATHY (owl) Mon Oct 02 1989 15:51

Let's see ... how does that go? I came, I saw, and I was conquered.
This weekend we decided to add two more members to our feline family.
They are littermates and are scottish folds. One is silver and the
other is a silver tabby. Even so young they are quite striking and
have their share of curiosity about their environment.

I am still thinking about names. One's face is JUST like a barn
owl's complete with the snowy face with "highlights". Not only is my
personal name "owl", but that is also my lisence plate.

Their coat patterns are irregular. Sort of like taking white paint and
starting to stir in a darker color and it swirls because it has not
had a chance to "mix" into a different color. Now I just have to keep
repeating that it is only 4 more weeks, now it is only 3 weeks and
six days, now ...... Well, you get the idea.

Allow me to correct you Cathy ... must be hard to see with all
those stars in your eyes :-) One is a Silver tabby & white and
the other is a Silver-patch Tabby and white. The latter is one
of the most striking colorations I've ever seen. For those of
you who have been to the shows - the two little folds that Bev
Hardacre was showing for Tony are silver patch tabby & white.
    I want one!!!!

Hey Cathy - good thing they weren't ready to come home this
weekend or our cat count might have gone up by 4 or 5 ;-)
      Nancy DC
p.s. It was great to meet you and your husband. I hope to have
    some pics for you tomorrow

I see you are restricting me to the sittens. Actually, the count
    could have been higher.......

You are right, silver and white ...

Congratulations, Cathy! As you know, I was thinking about taking
the silver tabby and white male but since we want a show kitty,
both Tony and Nancy have advised us to wait for Dundee Mommy-Cat's
litter to be born this month. I can't wait to hear what she has!

You'll have to share pictures with me once you get them home and
settled in. I know how I was waiting for my Ragdolls to be old
enough to leave the nest.... the anticipation and excitement was
    unnerving at times!!!

Actually, I think one kitten's face looks like a Saw-Whet Owl and
the other's face seems to be almost between that of a Burrowing
    Owl's face and a Snowy Owl's face.

How about naming one "Saw-Whet" and the other "Snowy"?

Cathy - if you will take me out for a pizza dinner, I will show
    you pictures of those owls!
