2475.0. "Such a little lady" by GBMMKT::VACCHELLI (I want my woooby!) Tue May 16 1989 17:24

    Poor baby! Mummy has to find a new home for her.

    Tabitha is a nine month old long haired tabby. She is nuetered
    as well as declawed. Her nature is very sweet. She is very bold
    and almost haughty at times. Other times she is just your average
    run of the mill girl. She gets on well wiwth all types of people
    and even little children. She has had no bad experiences and is
    very well adjusted.

    If you are interested in my little sweetie, plz contact me. Tabs
    really needs a good home.

    Why are you giving her up?
2475.2That's the fact KatGBMMKT::VACCHELLII want my woooby!Wed May 17 1989 22:168
    I am giving her up becuase there are already two infinatly more
    mature gentlemen living here that would rather not deal with a youngin.
    Brad and Alex have made it more than clear that there is just not
    enough room for three fuzzy wuzzies in our household. I don't
    understand but since they are the original occupants of mine and
    my roommate's crib their meow is law!

    Sounds like the kind of trouble I'm having currently with Tymothee
    and my spayed females.
      She sounds like a wonderful kitty - that's why I couldn't figure
    out why you'd want to part with her.
      Good luck. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for someone who
    wants a female.

    It looks as though Tabitha is going to have to go to the Humane
    Society. This breaks my heart as she has led a very sheltered life
    and won't know how to deal with the trauma of being let off in a
    strange place where they put you in cages and everybody has nasty
    parasites and.....I can't go on with this. It is really killing
    me that I can't find a home for this beautiful girl. She is so
    proper and has so much character if anybody knows of anybody who
    is interested in Tabs, she's the best little girl in the whole wide
    world and really deserves a good home.

2475.5I cannot help you from here, but...JULIET::APODACA_KILove rescue me.Tue May 23 1989 19:5713
    I don't know where you are at, but before you plop off your cat
    at the pound, look for the following:

    1) a no kill shelter

    2) animal rescue leagues--they might be able to help you place her,
    tho as you probably know, cats are MUCH harder to place than cute,
    fuzzy kittens.

    There are always alternatives--if she was your buddy, give it a
    shot!

    According to the Jimmy Smith Society the following are no-kill
    shelters:

    Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem
    Ellen Gifford in Brighton (under new management)
    Elaine Bosler Humane in Barre Ma
    Buddy Dog in Sudbury (dogs only?)
    Milton Shelter in Milton Ma
    Framingham Humane (cats only)

    You may have to pay towards her upkeep but it would be worth it.
    Also, at least at the Framingham Humane Society, the cats are
    all healthy happy cats and are only caged with other cats they
    get along with.
      Call around and see if you can't find one of these places that
    will take your little lady.
      Best of Luck.
