When my Siamese, Pina Colada, had her litter the kittens were born
white and it took about 3 weeks for them to start getting their
points. It took some time for them to really show. Pina took
almost 5 years to "mature" and get to where she is today (a chunky
happy-go-lucky furface)
Gotta love em.

| As a ex-himmy breeder, I never had kittens born without points.
Even the flame point (red on the points) kittens had points when
they were born. I never bred lilac or chocolate points, and I
understand that their point colors take a little longer to come
in. I'ld expect you should see the points by 2-3 weeks.

| I breed Birmans, which are another breed of pointed cats. All my
kittens are born white, and the points on the seals start showing
up at about 1 week of age. The blues take a bit longer. I have
never had chocolates so who knows. The points show up as "dirty"
looking fur on ears and nose, and gradually get darker. By about
3 weeks, they have color on legs, nose, ears, and tails.

| When we went to Stoneystream cattery to look at Ming (to see if
she was what we wanted. Silly question) Mary the breeder had a
new litter of lilac point kittens (2) they were 3 weeks, body color
was very light (almost white) and their points were very strong in
color. No doubt they were lilac points even if you didn't know it,
what a beautiful color.
Just to let you know how good I can be, picked them both up plus
the mother and only come home with Ming.!!!!!!! They did make a
very strong impression on me thought.
