2425.0. "Vet in the Springs?" by LAIDBK::RESKE (Life's a mystery & I haven't a clue) Wed May 03 1989 03:30

I have accepted a job in Colorado Springs and I'll be moving
the first of June. I have to take my two babies to the vet
to get a health certificate at this end but then they're
going on a plane ride for the first time and I'm really
worried about it. I want to make sure that if anything
should happen to them during the flight that I have a good
vet to take them to. Can anybody recommend a good vet
    in the Springs??

    Trying to be prepared ....

Dr. Jim Friedly -- East Woodmen Road (495-4717)
He takes care of my cats, dog, and horses.

He is VERY conscientious. And he is good with ALL my
crew. And he doesn't yell when I call him in the middle of
of the night. (Tell him I sent you).

Welcome to Colorado. Where will you be working?

Hum, Dr. Friedly does sound *Friendly* :-). Over here (MA) we can't
call any vet (except a few overnight places) at night.

A Dr. Lou Novosad bought out the practice of the vet we have had
since moving to Colo Spgs in 1983. She used to, and may still,
practice at the Sunnyside Vet Clinic on North Circle just up from
Palmer Park Blvd, BUT she has recently opened a new clinic called
the Eagle Point (or View) Clinic in the little shopping center where Safeway
is located just behind the CXO1-2 and CXO3 buildings. Dr Novosad(sp?)
was a vet in the U.S. Army for several years 'til she got tired
of the military life. We find her personality a bit brusque, but
she really is a good vet and the animals seems to like her (as much
as any animal likes going to the vet)

Thanks to everyone for their advice and help. Now I just have
to go try all of them to find which one the boys and I like
    best! 8^)
