2388.0. "ANYONE WANT A KITTY?" by SAGE::WATSON () Thu Apr 20 1989 13:19

                       ANYONE WANT A KITTY?

A friend of mine took in an abandoned kitten that was found in a
paper bag in the back of someone's pick-up truck. Its eyes weren't
even open yet! There oughta be a law against such things!

The kitten is now approx. 4 weeks old, learning to use the litter
box, and eating kitty food from a plate. It's a gray tiger, feisty
little thing. The gender is unknown at this time.

Interested parties should call Sandra Boucher, Manchester, NH, at
669-8000. She'd love to keep it, but there are already three cats
in the household, and they're not too happy about the new arrival!

She says it's still crying for its mama and loves to be held.

There ARE laws against this sort of thing!!! They're called "Animal
    Abuse Laws"!!

It's a damned shame that sub-humans such as this exist!!

I just called about the kitten and it has found a home. Someone
called her last night and has taken it.

We brought Bumble Bea home Friday morning. For the first day and a half
she wanted to be held constantly. We established a lair for her in the
rocking chair with a hassock and stacks of paperbacks and phone books
providing easy access to the floor. For that first day and a half, when she
wasn't being held or taking care of some bodily function, she just stayed
under her blanket. Then she started to get bold and by last night she had the
run of the living room, kitchen and dining room. This morning she climbed
the stairs!!!! And she now sleeps on top of the blanket instead of under it.
She is still learning how to wash herself but has made progress just since
Friday. I wipe her after she eats or uses her box and she is starting to
groom herself more thoroughly. And she is *very* frisky. Sometimes she just
runs around for the sheer joy of it.

ps. about the name: you have to see her round striped body dart across
the kitchen floor with this little tail sticking straight out to fully
appreciate it.
