2176.0. "I'm looking for a free kitten." by CSG::MYERS () Wed Jan 25 1989 18:37

Does anyone know of any free kittens available? Natasha (of Boris
and Natasha, the 1 1/2 year old brother and sister team) was hit
by a car last week, and sadly she was lost. I'd like to get Boris
a kitten to help ease his loneliness and I think I should get it
soon before he gets too used to being alone (and turns into a real
    rug potato!).

The problem is that all of the animal shelters I've called have
none and they tell me they are not really optimistic this time of
year about getting many kittens. And even though there are nice
adult cats available through the notesfile and elsewhere, I think
he would adjust better to a kitten, especially since Boris is the
laid back type and Natahsa was the energetic type who really got
him going. I think an energetic partner would be best to stimulate
    him (hence a kitten).

The kitten would go to a very loving home, would get good care,
would be vacinated, spayed or neutered, and would generally--along
with Boris--be in charge of our house! I can be reached at
MYERS::csgdec or Linda Myers @PDM or dtn 291 0520 or home at 508
371 1919. My husband, Boris and I would be grateful for any help!

Given that Boris is so laid back, I am guessing that he might adjust
to an older cat as well. Some older cats, like my Holly, are energetic
    (swoosh..... what was that......flying past....).

If you do decide to take a cat instead of a kitten there is one
who deserves a good home in note #2137. She's only 22 months old
    and has already been spayed.

Another vote for the cat in note 2137. She sounds very nice and
would probably make a wonderful companion for you and Boris. She
too is used to being with other cats so she and Boris would probably
adjust very quickly to each other.
