1996.0. "Need More Warmth at Shelter" by VAXWRK::LANZA () Wed Nov 23 1988 18:11

I'd like to make a request to all you FELINE noters! There is a
shelter in need of help in Fitchburg so I thought maybe I could make
    a holiday request.

The shelter name: PURR-FECT CAT-TEL SHELTER
Run by: Pat Brody, 125 Appleton Circle, Fitchburg, MA 01420

Pat is in need of bedding type donations, for example, old towels,
sheets, rugs, and the like. The shelter is not completely winterized
yet but is being worked on. I know that she would take any other
donations if possible, such as food, litter, and $$.

She runs this shelter full time, mostly by herself. She currently
has 45 cats/kittens in her shelter now to be placed. She is also
helping to find a home for Natasha! She is running at max. capacity!
Most shelters seem to be these days!!!

If you would like to help her for the holidays with the kitties warmth,
etc., either I can try to collect bedding materials and take them
to her or they can be dropped on with Dr. Mulcahey at Central
    Animal Hospital in Leominster, MA.

She also runs a sponsorship program for a month, $10.00, or sponsorship
of half-a-cat for $5.00 a month. This woman is very special. Her
shelter is set up on the Fitchburg Dog Officer's property (another
kind woman, Carol Stacy, who's been the officer for 12 years and
brings stray cats to Pat's shelter).

Pls. contact me for further information. I have a newletter she
sent me and a newspaper article done on her and the shelter with
pictures. The newsletter also has numbers to call for finding
injured wild birds, and for questions about home caged birds.

    Thanks!
    Joy Lanza (Onyx's mom)
