1891.0. "PLEASE HELP! ALF IS MISSING! PLEASE HELP!" by RAINBW::PERRY (Cats make the best accessories) Wed Oct 19 1988 11:36

                           PLEASE PLEASE HELP!

                         ALF IS MISSING! REWARD!

Alf is a small male black and white tuxedo cat. He is approximately
7 months old. He can easily be identified by a long white
stripe running down his little nose.

He was last seen Sunday, October 16, 1988 in the vicinity of
Rt. 12 and Litchfield Street in Leominster, Mass.
    (near Sunoco, and EJ Marrone's).

There is a reward for anyone who can tell me his whereabouts.
                          NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

This is the third mysterious disappearance of one of my beloved
friends in the last 4 months. Ordinarily, I would not be too worried
    - he is due to be neutered next week, so perhaps he is just sowing
the last of his wild oats. However, in light of the fact that two
of my others disappeared in the same way quite recently, I am in
    a complete state of panic.

Does anyone know of any research labs in the Leominster area?
Especially of the last 6 months or so? These cats were incredibly
healthy when last seen, and very good about cars. No bodies have
    been found.

The other missing two are: Holly - A lovely female calico approximately
1 and a half years old. VERY spooky around people.
And, Peachy - an extremely beautiful cream (pinkish) colored longhair.
He has a funny flat face and is incredibly loving. He has a strange
penchant for plastic. I am pretty sure that someone took him in,
since he is such a doll.

Any information leading to the whereabouts of my friends would be
more than greatly appreciated. Even just to know that they are dead
or living happily with someone else would put my mind at ease...
the thought of labs and suffering is just so devasting to me.

Please help me to find Alfie. I think I would die without him.

    Thank you all so much.

     /Denise

Being in Calif., I can't help you look, but have you checked with
all your nearby neighbors and especially asked them to check any
place the cats might have gotten accidentally locked in, like a
garage, garden shed, basement? Posted notices and left notices
at doors with his description/picture and your phone numbers? Visited
the local shelters (they often can't identify properly over the phone)
and left posters with them and the local vets? Checked newspaper
ads, and placed one of your own? Please keep us informed; I am
praying for him. (Please keep him inside if he comes back.)
