1716.0. "Malcolm needs a home - yr. old silver Persian" by CLT::BROWN () Tue Aug 30 1988 18:21

    Just got a call from a friend of a friend about a cat who needs
    a home (since Jan and I have 8, people tend to try and convince
    us that "one more wouldn't be a big deal..."). Here's the details:

    				Malcolm
    	Silverstreak Persian, one year old, neutered male with
    		papers and shots...
    	Very friendly, lovable, "lapcat" who is used to other cats
    		and children...
    	This ball of fluff enjoys human companionship and takes to
    		new people readily...

    Due to a career move and the disinterest of the children, the owner
    doesn't feel that Malcolm has as much care and companionship as
    he deserves. Reluctantly, the owner has decided to try and find
    Malcolm a new home.

    Since the owner is not at DEC, please send me mail or call to let
    me know if you're interested...

    I'll let you know how it goes. Something tells me this cat won't
    be long in finding a new home - a friend of mine had a Silverstreak
    Persian with emerald eyes, and I can assure you that they're
    wondrous to behold, especially when they come full tilt out of a
    darkened hallway chasing invisible "night-creatures", only to decide
    that they'd rather sleep in someone's lap...

    Thanks for your help,

    Our Primo is a silver-grey persian too... I know what you mean...
    Last time I was home, he had put on a lot of volume, both fur and
    fat. I'm sitting watching the box with my legs stretched out to
    the coffee table. In smooths Primo. Before I can move my legs out
    of the way he actually hopped over them... have you ever seen a
    rug jump suddenly across the room??  8^)}

    Just to let you know, Malcolm has a new home (thanks, Sylvia!)
    and I'm sure he's going to be very happy. Especially since he'll
    have small dogs to tease (I know ours enjoy that to no end).

    So, it's adios until I get the next call ("Hey, Ron! How would
    you and Jan like a 18 lb., double-pawed, copper-eyed, fully-armed,
    neutered ...).

    Thanks again to everyone who responded...

    Ron
