1675.0. "September issue of Cats Mag - lots of good stuff!" by EDUC8::TRACHMAN (E.T.'s ZhivagoCats....DTN: 264-8298) Thu Aug 18 1988 14:52

    I have noticed many inquires here in the file for Ragdolls -
    The September issue of Cats Magazine has quite a few breeders
    listed - anyone interested in ragdoll cats or kittens might
    want to check that issue to see if there is a breeder they
    might want to contact. There are about 15 breeders listed
    from many different areas:  Malden, MA; Old Lyme, CT;
    Hackettstown NJ; New York; Michigan, Oklahoma, California, etc.

    If any of you are interested in Tonkinese kitties - there is a
    very nice article about that breed.

    There is also a very good article about Feline Leukemia - very
    explanatory!!

    The CFA awards are also listed with pretty PICTURES of the winners!

    Very good issue!

    Enjoy,

Miracle (the Tonk in the full-page picture in that article) has been over
our house for the past week or so to visit one of our stud cats. We were
surprised when we saw the article.

She's due to go back to her "parents" this weekend. Should I hold her for
ransom, now that she's famous????

    No! No! Elaine....

    The September issue features Birmans on the cover! This is our
    first time in the limelight in the last two or three years! Please
    give us our one month of glory...

    All of this intended in a jovial, joking manner.

    Jo, the Tonk picture is with the article about tonks - not the cover
    picture. Is the cover picture of Cats Magazine a Birman? I'm
    confused. Do you mean Cat Fancy Magazine? All I can find about
    the cover picture is that they say it's a pleasingly plump tabby.

    Ray, if I were you I'd hold on to that pretty baby! She is a real
    doll - is she as talkative a Maxine_The_Mouth ?? ha ha Just had
    to throw that in, Ray!!! I will let you tell folks about Maxine!
    Guess there will be some Miracle babies real soon?

    BTW folks, Pashenka's Auntie & Uncle can now verify first hand
    the antics of their nephew and how much of a monkey he is! He
    told me last night that he missed his Uncle Ray and wondered if
    he was going to see him this weekend? His Uncle Ray spoils him
    a whole bunch and Pashenka told me that he loves it!

1675.4I'm soooo confused!!JULIET::CORDESBRO_JOFri Aug 19 1988 15:0710
    Sorry Elaine,

    The Birmans are featured in Cat Fancy Magazine, September issue.
    There is a lovely bluepoint on the cover, and an article and more
    pictures (including a centerfold!) inside.

    My only problem now is that I don't have any temple bells!
    (you'll have to read the article to figure that one out)

    Jo
1675.5Hmm, bells??????EDUC8::TRACHMANE.T.'s ZhivagoCats....DTN: 264-8298Fri Aug 19 1988 16:346
    ahh. my subscription to cat fancy ran out! I need to renew -
    just haven't had a chance to - but will. will be on the lookout
    for those pretty babies! and will have to find out what temple
    bells are - my curiosity runnith over!!!
