1563.0. "More kittens - FREE !" by LITMUS::AUSTIN (just passn' thru) Mon Jul 18 1988 18:20

    Hi,

I have 2 grey and white kittens which I "saved" from an untimley
death about a week ago. In any case, I MUST give them away as I
am allergic to cats (and kittens). Last night I had a terrible
allergy attack and it made me even more aware that although I'd
really like to keep them, I can't.

    	Specifics:

    		1 Male 1 Female

    		double paws	double paws
grey & white	grey & white

    	Hey! They're almost the same!

    	I live in Dudley, Mass. (504) 949-1517

Work - DTN: 296-6678 (Marlboro, Mass)

    					Please help!

1563.1No Kittens ...3D::AUSTINjust passn' thruFri Aug 12 1988 20:1326

    Hi again,

I was not able to give away the two kittens which I "saved".
Unfortunately, they both had ringworm (which I now share with them
and my two children) and because 1) I cannot afford to keep 2 more
kittens at home and 2) nobody offered to adopt them, I had to make
the most difficult decision to have them put to sleep. Which really
    makes me angry.

As I had said, I found these 2 kittens in the middle of the
street. One of them had already gotten brushed by a car and I thought
they were both going to get squashed so I picked them up, because
I am a caring human. BUT WHO ARE ALL THESE PEOPLE WHO THINK THEY
SHOULD GET A CAT AND NOT TAKE CARE OF IT! IF YOU'RE NOT WILLING
TO TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF OWNING AN ANIMAL, THEN YOU SHOULDN'T
    TAKE ONE IN!

It just really irratates me that I've had to go through this
just because someone didn't want the resposibility.

1563.2I'd like to do to some humans what they do to some animalsEDUC8::TRACHMANFri Aug 12 1988 20:5511
You are a nice person. Don't ya get tired of cleaning up after
folks that don't take care of their own commitments? I maybe
shouldn't complain - if all the mothers of my babies were spayed
before they had my babies, maybe I wouldn't have my beautiful
babies. I better not start this here on Friday pm - but, Jean,
    I AGREE!

Me, too, Jean and Elaine. I just brought a still-pregnant Girl
home from the vet (only $52.00), and I've still got another week
to board her when I go to London on the 21st, then the bill for
post-natal care, and shots for kittens, and homes to find for them....

But, we do the best we can, eh? At least we've got each other to
    help and listen....

Yeah, it IS nice to have each other to listen - I've never seen
so many caring folk in all my days.
