1474.0. "Introducing Baby Snooks (AKA LB or Little one)" by IAMOK::HTAYLOR (Have you hugged your kitty today?) Mon Jun 20 1988 17:50

Well, It's time I introduced our new Kitten. Snooks is our new
little Korat kitten. We aren't able to get the Persian until Thursday
now. Little baby snooks is ADORABLE!

Her registered name is "Jaltari's Lady sings the Blues". A very
beautiful kitten. Much more silver that silver is. When we brought
her to the vet last week, the only think that the vet could say
was, "OH! What a face!!" She has been nicnamed little purr pot.
Every time you pick her up, she purrs. The Vet had to do the old
running water trick in order to listen to her heart.

She adjusted VERY well to her new home. We only had one problem.
She decided that my neice's bed was her new litterbox. that problem
was soon resolved though when we put her in a room without a bed
in it when we were isolating her.

She is a riot to watch. She LOVES to play and she loves to snuggle.
She'll come and just plop herself on your lap, no matter what you're
doing. She'll find ANYTHING to play with. This morning she very
proudly presented me with a piece of celophane that she attacked
and killed on my bed at 4:30am. She loves to attack those dangerous
creatures under the covers called toes.

When we first introduced her to the two cats, Tabbatha took to her
no problem, but Silver was quite upset with me. We put her down
on the floor and Tabbatha walked ever so gently around her so that
she wouldn't scare the baby. She sniffed her all over, and then
looked at me as if to say, "Is she for me?" Silver on the other
hand looked at me as if to say, "WHO is THAT! and WHAT is SHE doing
here? This is MY house!" She hissed at her every chance she gets,
and has attacked her a few times. Last night she pushed snooks
into a corner and every time snooks tried to get by, Silver would
bat her on the head and hiss at her.

Well, that's what's going on in the Taylor house. We're trying
to keep our sanity and trying to get our little kitties to get along.

    Hi Holly,

Your house sounds like mine. I guess neither one of us is going
to get much sleep for a while. Snooks sounds as loving and frisky
as Thunder. We'll have to keep notes.

Thunder is using the kitty box most of the time. She is also trying
a different spot each day and I am letting her know it is NOT the
correct place. I got something from the vet which is helping.
Do you have any suggestions for me as to what else I can do??

What a pretty name. Are you showing her in the Boston Show?? I
am trying to go but not to show, just as an observor. Thunder will
be shown in the September show.

I'm glad she is so protective and `killing' every thing that moves.
You never know what can hurt `mommy'. Better to be safe than sorry.

She definitely sounds like a love.

    Sandi (Lightning's, DejaVu's, & Thunder's mom)
