1349.0. "CLEO had KITTIES!" by NAC::LACOUR () Tue May 10 1988 14:16

After catching up on the past week's notes, I realize that I'll
probably get nowhere with this, as there are a lot of kitties up
for adoption. However, here I go anyway!

    			FREE TO A GOOD HOME
    			(ready in 8 weeks)

This past Sunday, Cleo (a stray my brother and his wife have been
feeding) gave birth to five little kitties on their living room
couch. The kittens will be ready in 8 weeks. They are mostly white
in color with some patches of black, and there is one with some
tiger stripes. I have not seen these kittens. My brother had plans
on taking the mom cat to the vet today and called the vet yesterday
to inform him that the cat had kittens. The vet said to bring in
the whole troop and he'll check them out. The mother cat will be
brought up to date on all shots and will be tested for leukemia.
I assume if she tests positive, the kittens will be tested when
    they're ready for adoption.

If you're interested or know anyone who will be wanting a kitten
in about 8 weeks, please reply to me on NAC::LACOUR (I no longer
have the opportunity to read NOTES on a regular basis). The kittens
are located in Riverdale, NY (right next to Yonkers) so if any of
you NY/NJ noters read this, it might be the perfect opportunity
    for you!

I'd take one myself by for me, 3 is enough.

My brother brought Cleo to the vet's yesterday and she's very healthy.
The vet tested her for leukemia right there and it was negative.
    The kittens also are healthy.

I also made a miscalculation on when the kittens will be ready.
It will be closer to the end on June/beginning of July that they
will be ready for adoption. Mid june would put them only at 4 weeks.
