1345.0. "Animal Placement places, do they exist?" by AKOV77::PARSONS (Lady Lioness) Mon May 09 1988 20:29

My brother and his wife have three 8-week old kittens who need homes.
Donny and Terry have stressed that they must be very loveable owners,
but how can you help it, especially when they're so little and cute?!
Anway, Terry mentioned something about putting them in some kind
of a animal placement place which kind of concerns me... I've never
heard of such a place and it kind of bothers me.

Anway - they have two gold kitties with stripes - like Morris, and
one tiger kitty who has the biggest, sweetest eyes I've ever seen.

If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who might be, please
contact me either through E-mail or you can call my brother and
his wife directly at (617) 692-9328 Westford, MA. Terry is home
    during the day, she's seven month's pregnant :-) :-) :-) ... They
    have an answering machine . . . just to for-warn ya! ;-)

    Meew,

Animal placement place? If you are referring to a Humane Society,
this is a very good idea. But I would beware of a service that
will place animals into homes for a fee - doesn't sound legit to
me, and are they really looking out for the best interest of the
animial? I seriously doubt it. I believe there is a note that
pertains to this type of service; if not a note than a series of
replies to a base note. Perhaps someone with a better memory can
    point you to it.

    Are they male or female??
Placemnet center, well, I don't know about placement, but the
Northeast Animal shelter in Salem Ma. keep animals until they are
adopted, they do not destroy them, of course a contribution is
    required to place them there.

    Re: .2

The kittens are males. There were only two females in the litter
    and they've been taken.

Thank you for the info on the Northeast Animal Shelter - I'll tell Don
and Terry about it. We're hopeing we can find homes for the kittens
instead of putting them in a shelter.

Thank you for the information on the Northeast Animal Shelter.

My brother is taking the daddy kitty to be "fixed" so there won't
be any more little fur faces runnin around. The mommy kitty, Seasons
isn't well. She's been eating like a pig and hasn't gained any
weight since she had the kittens 9 weeks ago. They've got to get
_her_ into the Vet too. I hope it's nothing serious. Seasons was
a wedding present from me to them.

Again, thanks for the information and I'll pass it on.
