    'Kitty-Cat Condo' Thrives in Lincoln
    
    LINCOLN - A "kitty-cat condominium" behind Washington Hill Apartments
    off Route 116 was discovered yesterday morning by police.
    
    According to Patrolman Albert Martell who had followed a vehicle
    cutting through a dirt road in back of the All-State Insurance Co.
    office yesterday morning, he saw "50 little huts" in the woods occupied
    by a "commune of felines".
    
    "It appears that someone has taken the time and effort to construct
    this kitty-cat condo and has gone so far as to place feeding bowls
    in each one.  Also, some are complete with wall-to-wall carpeting,"
    Martell wrote in his report.  He estimated there are more than 100
    cats living in the huts.
    
    Reports said the animal control officer was notified to check out
    the arrangement.
    
    Martell's wry humor concluded the report: "This kitty-cat condo
    is situated in the quiet confines of Lincoln, but with fine access
    to shopping areas and major thruways."
