1167.0. "T.C. gets a playmate" by LAIDBK::RESKE (Life's a mystery & I have no clues) Mon Mar 07 1988 20:38

I thought I'd put in an entry to tell you about my new baby Rocco.
He's about 4-5 months old and 100% jet black with green eyes.
He was given to a woman for x-mas who had cancer and recently
died. Although the story was sad, the ending is happy because
    I have this wonderful kitty.

The biggest part of the fun was bringing him home to meet my other
baby T.C.. T.C. usually *loves* animal company but he somehow
immediately knew this one wasn't just visiting. I'm not sure how
he knew but he had Rocco cornered by the front door and wouldn't
let him any further in the apartment. I let T.C. have his way
for a little while but then I picked up Rocco and show him the
box and the food. Well the whole story can get too long and too
boring so I'll just tell you that after 3 days and about 50 fights
they suddenly became best of friends. It was *really* tough
watching them fight but I was told they needed to go through it
    to establish who was boss.

So now I have 2 babies and 3 times the fun and trouble. T.C. is
the boss (I think) and has taken to showing Rocco the ropes.
The one lesson Rocco hasn't learned is that the bathtub belongs
*only* to T.C. and is not to be shared. You should see T.C chase
him out of there and scold him! Oh well, I imagine there will be
hundreds of stories to share in the future!

    CONGRATS....

Two is definitely more fun. When one is tired or resting the other
is available for playing. Also it's so wonderful to wake up to
the sound of `a herd of rampaging elephants' in the middle of the
    night.

Enjoy them. They grow up SO fast.

RE: .4 Boy, you really hit the nail on the head that time, Sandi.
"A heard of rampaging elephants" is EXACTLY what Tabby and Silver
sound like. Although, they usually don't sound like that in the
morning, though. They usually sound like that at night after everyone
    has gone to bed.

But, I couldn't live without them. Congrats on your new addition.
two is MOST DEFINITELY better than one.

I guess we all go through it. Schnapps and Tequilla (formerly Mona)
are now best of friends also. The first few days, though...Whew!
