1142.0. "Update on Kitty" by CSSE::MCKINNON () Fri Feb 26 1988 13:42

First of all I want to thank a fellow noter who got me to think
a lot more about what happened to my cat and gave me the incentive
to look into it further -------THANKS SHERRY!!

Now, for those of you who replied to my note regarding Kitty,
my 20-21 year old cat who was brought into the vet for boarding
and died 4 days after we brought her home, THANK YOU ALL so much
for all your wonderful notes....it made me feel a whole lot better.

About my decision to get another one....well, I do beleive that
we will be getting TWO new friends but, I think I'm going to wait
a couple months until I'm really ready to deal. The following
circumstances also will probably take some time until I get the
outcome, which is very important to my dealing with all of my
    feelings.

I am now working with the Board of Veteranarians(sp?). I did first
try the MSPCA and they directed me to this agency. I was then directed
to the investigative unit where I spoke to a great guy who seems
to think I have a very legitimate grounds for investigation.

I went in to much detail in a previous note (1118) about what happened
to Kitty. Well I just haven't been comfortable with the whole thing
so I am going through with the investigation. After hearing the
general circumstances of my story, Chuck Young of the Board, told
me that they will definitley investigate and that some things just
    don't seem right.

The other thing I am concerned about is this. I had Kitty creamated
(sp?) seperately which means I will get her ashes back and I can
bury her when the weather gets nicer. Well, the vet has told me
that I won't be getting her back until March. That's almost a month!
I told Chuck this and he couldn't believe it. He immediately took
my number so he could check this out with someone else on the Board.

He called me back and told me that should take no longer than a
week, week and a half. Things are getting a little too fishy for
me. I have been thinking about alot of little things that have
happened that I didn't think about at the time.

Hopefully, I can get some real answers and get to the bottom of
    what really happened.

This Board seems like a very nice, very sincere organization. I
will keep you posted as to the outcome of all of this.

Thanks again for all your support!

    re.0
Not being able to get Kitty back for a whole month doesn't sound
kosher to me either. Sounds to me that you are onto something that
they would rather you didn't know. Glad to hear that you have people
on the board who are able to assist you.
    Keep us posted

    Yeah Team! Go for it!

If you can found out that something was fishy....just think of what
you have done! Save other people from going through the same thing
    you had to go through!

What a brave person you are!

Thanks for having the courage to pursue!
