844.0. "NEW TO FELINE NOTES" by REGENT::MICHAELSON () Fri Oct 16 1987 17:11

I AM NEW TO THE NOTES FILE, AND I AM DELIGHTED TO BE ABLE TO
COMMUNICATE WITH OTHER CAT LOVERS. I ONLY HAVE ONE CAT(KITTEN)
BUT SHE HAS THE ENTIRE FAMILY TRAINED. SHE IS A SEAL POINT
SIAMESE, 6 MONTHS OLE AND ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL (PROUD MOTHER!!)

HER NAME IS CHO CHO SAN FROM THE OPERA MADAME BUTTERFLY AND SHE
DOES FLY AROUND THE HOUSE LIKE A BUTTERFLY AT TIMES.

ANY HINTS ON HOW TO INTRODUCE HER TO A NEW PUP WHICH WILL BE COMING
TO LIVE AT OUR HOUSE IN A FEW WEEKS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

    MANY THANKS, JPM

Read some of the other notes in here that mention "dog" or "pup".
You can use the VAX Notes SEARCH command to find them. You can
use the HELP SEARCH command to find out more about this.

Also, please don't SHOUT by typing all in upper case. I'll bet
you have the SHIFT LOCK key on your terminal depressed, maybe
because you normally use some program that gets confused if you
use mixed UPPER and lower case. But it's so much easier for the
people to read if you DON'T SHOUT ALL THE TIME!!!

Have fun with the puppy and kitten - I'll bet the puppy
will try to jump on the kitten all the time, and as soon as his
back is turned the kitten will jump on him! (voice of experience,
here...) Just keep an eye on them so you can tell when one of them
has just about had it with the other one - that's when the `playing'
can get a little rough. Most of the time it's the puppy who doesn't
know when to quit, so watch out for that. My puppy got scratched
right on the edge of his eyelid, missing his eye by about a millimeter.
I'll bet they turn out to be the best of friends, though. Good
    luck!
