Speaking of dangers to kittens, one of my neighbor's kittens died
a few weeks ago in my backyard. She had evidentally jumped up onto
the edge of the concrete birdbath, and the dish part fell over,
trapping her underneath. That's where I found her when I came home.
Christ. Needless to say, I threw the birdbath out and replaced
it with an extremely lightweight one.

What a sad story!!! This is also a danger to small children!
(They try to see what's in there and end up tipping it over on
themselves)
