    	HELP SAVE ABANDONED CATS AND KITTENS.
    
    	We are trying to save cats and kittens ,
	all sizes and colors, that need
    	homes.   There are about 40 cats and kittens remaining.
    
    	Please help save these animals.  Please.
    
        If the cats and kittens are not placed soon, the 
    
    	M.S.P.C.A. will kill them.
    
    	Please help.   The cats are in Belmont, MA.  We deliver.

	Hi, My name is Mathew Taylor - I just adopted two of the kittens mentioned in the previous note. In talking with Annette and Andrea, I expressed my feeling that this notesfile might provide ideas or at least moral support for their cause. The following is written by me with Andrea's approval but has not been reviewed by her. There is a couple in Belmont that is supposedly 'highly intelligent and somewhat mad'. Annette hypothesized that they may have a fetish with birth. Consequently, they, in May, had ammassed around 200 un-neutered cats in and around their house. The cats apparently were fed, but not otherwise cleaned or cared for. Neighbors, complaining of the smell emanating from the house, called the health department which got the MSPCA to come and take 30 or so at a time to be destroyed. It is my understanding that the MSPCA has done nothing to keep the situation from repeating. Annette and Andrea have tried to reason with the couple to no avail. They have been taking cats themselves and supplying the 'halfway house' in an attempt to place the remaining cats and kittens with responsible owners who will neuter and properly care for them. They have also been trying to get the cats the couple will keep neutered. If you have ideas, either call and talk with them (I'm sure they'll appreciate the support) or reply here and I'll forward it to them. Thanks. Matt
