| Well,
On Saturday I drove down to Hartford (my old stompin' grounds) to
meed Karen a recent University of Connecticut graduate. She has
just rented her first apartment which is close to her first full
time job. We went over to the CSPCA where she picked out her first
kitten, Amanda, who is the sweetest little brown and cream tabby
you could hope to find. You should have seen those two together.
I wished I had my camera! Karen's sister works here at Dec in the
Stow facility, and that's how we got together. And - guess what,
guys. Yours truely did not walk out of the CSPCA empty handed (some
people should be locked up!!!). I am now additionally owned by
a darling gray female named "Justa Graykee" (get it? "Just a gray
kitty"??). Dr. Nelson checked her out on Sunday, but said she was
too little to take blood for the FEVL test, so poor little Justa
will be spending her time in the downstairs den for a while. She
seems pleased as punch, though, just to be out of "jail" :-).

Donna,
I "only" have five kittys. I'll have "only" four later on this
week since I just sold the last of this year's Abyssinian kittens.
A tail count of four is managable for me. You know what my major
dificulty with keeping a large number of cats? I _hate_it_ when
the house smells like a litter box! I suppose one solution would
be to quit feeding the little guys, but then I suppose they'd all
go and get crankey about the situation so I guess I better just forget
that :-D.
Back to the subject, Donna. In order to set up this "sponsorship"
(Neat word for it. Why didn't I think of that?) all I did was
enter my note here along with how go get in touch with me. The
rest is history. I've got to tell you that I havn't felt *so* good
about doing a thing in a very long time. In fact the girl indicated
to me that she intends to do the same for someone else when she
becomes more established. I guess good feelings like that
are catching.
