| Hi Mike--
I have some people I know who were taking in some strays. I don't
have their phone number, but they are Steve and Karen Bernstein,
and live in Londonderry, NH. I would check the phone book; mention
my name if you like as we used to be neighbors. They have a big
farm, and go nuts over all animals, but have a particularly soft
spot for cats. The last I knew, they had 1 dog, 2 (or maybe 3)
horses, 9 cats, and a bunny. So please see how they feel about
2 more family members. And let me know how you do!
Best of luck,
Jane

| Unfortunately I was unable to find a home for these two cats. I
ended up taking them to a place in Pepperell, Massachusetts called
the Dayglen Kennels and Animal Shelter and Company. This is an Animal
Shelter which guarentees that it will attempt to find a home for
the animals you bring them indefinately. I.e., they guarentee that
they will never put the animals to sleep.
If anyone out there decides they are interested in these cats, or
if anyone knows anyone who is interested, please get in touch with
me and I will call the Dayglen Kennels to find out if the cats are
still available.
I can be reached via e-mail at SQM::GREENBERG or at DTN 381-2657.

| I have been to the Animal Shelter in Pepperell many times. It is
a very good place as they really do try to keep the animals as long
as possible. I went there looking for a collie about three years
ago and ended up bring home a female samoyed. When I first saw
her, she looked like she was a hundred years old and had never been
brushed. She had just been brought in that morning and they had
not had a chance to clean her up. If they took her in and did not
intend to put her to sleep, I know they won't put these two cats
to sleep. A lot of people want cats that are declawed so that their
furniture is not ruined. ABANDONMENT --- I HATE that word.....
Sandi.
