On Tuesday, Jan. 27, the Meow Motel suffered over $40,000 in damages
in a terrible fire that took the life of one cat. (one of the owners).
Luckily they were able to get all the boarders out into a station
wagon while the fire was being fought. Considerable damage was done
to the office and boarding area. So,,,, if you know of anyone who
is now, or is planning to board there soon, or heaven forbid had
a cat there!, you had better call them to check on the status of
things. Many of their records, such as people's phone #'s may have
been destroyed in the fire and they may be unable to notify people
of conditions. I will check on this myself and provide more info.
to this note ( I know the Cobbs.) I will stop by myself and let
everyone know.

| Went to see the Cobbs and the kitties this weekend. They are
still in business, luckily no real damage occurred to the holding
area where the cats are kept. There is a slight smoke odor, but
that's it. No real problems and they're working very quickly to
clean up.
I also forgot to mention they're phone # in Amesbury,
617-388-1722, if anyone has a question.
