| One of the best ways to find out what a kennel is like is to visit
it before you make arrangements to have your cat boarded. Stop
by unexpectedly and see how clean the place is, the cage size, the
amount of ventalation...etc. I found out the hard way, leaving
my cats at a place that someone recommended, only to find on my
earlier than expected return the cages dirty, old food in dishes,
they had not been groomed...etc. Was I mad!
Always make sure that that place you will be boarding at only accepts
pets that are up to date on their shots, or you may be exposing
your pet to some danger of picking up some sickness.
Also ask for references from individuals who have had their pets
boarded there within say the last six months.

| This is a bit north of you and I haven't used them in a number of
years but...
Burlshire or Berkshire on route 4 in Chichester (just east of Concord)
was very good a number of years ago. As you go out of Concord it
is on the right about 4 or 5 places down from the flashing light
at the Horse Corner Rd/Main Street and rte 4 intersection (the only
flashing light in Chichester). When I used them the owners seemed
truly fond of animals.
I too recommend the 'drop in and check it out with no warning'
approach, including this place given the it's been several years
since I've either dropped in or used them.
If you'll be around during this time period you might want to also
check on whether or not they have an area that you can visit with
your cats in comfortably.
Good luck,
Audrey
