218.1...the real problem is...EUCLID::PAULHUSThu Mar 06 1986 17:284

    	Sorry to flame, but I can't resist: Perhaps the problem is
    not with the cat, but with the dogs. You do not prevent crime
    by restricting the victims, you work on the criminals! Chris

      Have you thought about keeping the cat inside? Or keeping him
    in unless he's is supervised? (That's how our cats are.) Perhaps
    if you help him live to be a cat, he'll get not only the smarts
    to stay out of the cage, but also be big enough to run or put up
    a little resistance.

    re .4  Good Idea.

    Have you thought of that Maureen? Making tiger an indoor cat?
    I can't imagine why he would be subjecting himself to abuse.
    Perhaps he's involved in a territorial dispute with the dogs
    and just does not want to relinquish that territory. What
    about giving him 'the house' as his kingdom.

        It looks like the author deleted the note, probably because
        a new home was found for Tiger.
