198.0. "Unusual Cat Needs Loving Home" by FRSBEE::BRODERICK () Sun Jan 19 1986 15:01

We moved to a smaller house last summer, and there have been some serious
problems developing among our 5 cats...our vet as well as an animal
behaviorist both agree that we will not have harmony again, unless we
cut down on the number of cats.

The problem seems to be centered around the two 3-year-old males, Rudi and
Fritz. Due to the fact that Rudi is very timid, and it took him close to
1 year before he fully accepted my husband, we've decided that Fritz would
be a better candidate for a new home.

Fritzie is a red lynx point (pseudo) siamese...he's a good size (11 lbs),
and an indoor cat...he has a very intense personality...he is of superior
intelligece and very people oriented...he's NOT one of these aloof types
at all!, but extremely demonstrative and talkative...

I've never had to give up any of my children before...this is very difficult
...our vet feels that Fritz would be happiest in a home where he is an "only
child" (this refers to both feline and human types)...perhaps a retired couple,
or an environment where someone would be home most of the time would be ideal
...he's in excellent health...he's had his leukemia series vaccinations, as
well as yearly boosters and rabies shots...oh yes, he's been neutered...

Fritz seems to become aggressive toward less "confident", or older cats...
again, he would probably do best in a situation where he had understanding
adults, rather than other animals.

I'm currently in PTP, and seldom get a chance to read any NOTES at all these
days, so _PLEASE_ send me mail if you have any questions, or if you know of
anyone who could appreciate this special, loving animal.
