128.0. "HOME WANTED" by PARSEC::DREW () Fri Aug 09 1985 16:59

Yesterday, when I picked up Hobbit from the Merrimack Veterinary
Hospital, they asked me if I know anyone looking for a cat.
Thought this notesfile might be a potential source for adoptive
parents.

Here's the story:

A few days ago, some knuckle dragger flung a small white cat from
a car window and sped off. Fortunately, the cat landed in the
yard of a kindly lady who took it in and decided to adopt it.
Unfortunately her resident 18 pound tom cat took offense and has
been doing his best to do in the newcomer. In order to preserve
domestic tranquility, she's looking for another home for the
white cat.

Specifics:

The cat is approximately 6 months old...still a kitten really.
He's a pure-white shorthair with big blue eyes. He appears to be
perfectly healthy and is very affectionate.

For more information, call the Merrimack Veterinary Hospital in
Merrimack, New Hampshire. (Sorry, I don't have the number with
me.)

I am going to call the Merrimack Veterinary Hospital today. Seven years
ago I was looking for a white kitty but couldn't resist taking in another
kitty in my search. Well, that kitty ran away so I have been looking
for a white one again and am so happy to see your note. My other girl
(Brandy) has been very lonely staying at home while I work. With the
blue eyes, it sounds like it may have some Siamese in her. Brandy is
a 10 lb. shiney black, double-pawed kitty with large green eyes. She
has quite the personality too.

I just called the Merrimack Vetinerary Hospital. The lady told me the
kitty was placed immediately. I am happy for him.

Sorry you didn't get him, Deb, but I'm really glad he found a
home. You might check with the Nashua Humane Society...someone
told me they have a lot of cats and kittens for adoption right
now. Sometimes if you specify a particular type of animal (a
white cat, for instance) they will notify you if the type of
animal you are looking for appears.

Hope your kitten finds a playmate soon!

Thank you for telling me about Nashua Humane. I have called areas around
where I live (Ruland, MA). I am real happy he found a home too.
Brandy had Tattoo's company for 8 years so she doesn't quite know what to do
with herself now. I'll let you know and thanks for the tip. deb
