5072.7Tunneling?CRLRFR::BLUNTTue Feb 25 1997 18:029

    Sort of a reference to .5, does Multinet still provide a tunnel for a
    DECnet circuit? We had one setup ast a customer site, but nobody
    bothered to check on the areas in use, so naturally we became unpopular
    for a while. It worked quite well, from what I recall... If they
    still do this, then wouldn't that provide the mechanism to tunnel
    DECnet in IP packets over PPP (provided that they do PPP/SLIP).

5072.8Is PPP on UCX/VMS needed or Term server enough?NYOSS1::ZAMORAEdgar - DTN 352-2486Thu Apr 03 1997 20:5610

    I understand that some terminal servers support PPP. My question is
    does UCX/VMS need to have the PPP support too in order for a customer
    to access, through PPP, some application on VMS that uses PPP, let's
    say for example a Web server.

    TIA.
