1076.0. "Where is located the DBI7 FT2 version" by ORAREP::LEMAN::NAUFFRAY () Thu Jul 04 1996 06:18

Hi,

   I've a french customer who bought DBI/DBI gateway to Oracle/DDD through
 DIGITAL channels before the transfer to ORACLE. And we face today the same
 problem as noticed in the entry #1065 in the context of a DDD transfer from
 RDB towards ORACLE on NT, it's working perfectly for small tables, but for
 large ones (600000 records), it fails with the "insifficient_memory message".
 I'll try to manage this issue playing with the account quotas as a first step,
 but is it possible to know where and how I could catch the DBI v7 FT2 version,
 for experiencing some pre-test.

  Thanks a lot in advance for the answer.
  James

    Hi James,

    DBI7 FT2 will be available in a week or two. If it is going to a
    customer site then I think they will have to sign a field test
    agreement. To make sure, you can ask Mike Rubino
    (mrubino@us.oracle.com).

    Thanks (and yes, we believe this next FT will fix that problem).

Thanks Dan,

   I'll wait a little bit, and ask Mike for the procedure to adopt.

1076.5Hopefully this week...BROKE::ABUGOVTue Jul 30 1996 17:1211

    Hi,

    We are reg testing and install testing now. Hopefully by the end of
    this week. We held the kit back to fix a show-stopper bug, but we also
    added a performance enhancement that should make things go much faster
    with large tables.

    Sorry for the delay.
