644.0. "Rehearsal dinner" by DELNI::FERRIGNO () Wed Jan 29 1997 17:32

My daughter wanted to have her rehearsal dinner at the Colonial Inn in
Concord, Ma, but is unable to get a date.

Is there a similar dining establishment in the Concord area? Belmont,
Lexington, etc. would be fine, also. She's looking for a restaurant with
a nice atmosphere.

Thanks in advance.

what are these "rehearsal" dinners? - Ive heard of church rehearsals
which, over here, is normally the night before.

Regarding .0, try the Hartwell House in Lexington.

Regarding .1, a rehearsal dinner is hosted by the groom's parents
(traditional rule only) and is held the evening before the wedding,
    after the rehearsal.

The entire wedding party, their dates/spouses, and the bride and
groom's immediate family are usually invited. The manner police also
state that all out of town guests should be invited; however, that can
easily result in a huge rehearsal dinner.

    sounds like a nice occasion!

2 days before the wedding - my grandparents are coming down from
Scotland and are taking my sister (bride), her fiance, my parents and
the grooms parents out to dinner...

is that a similar kind of thing I wonder......I love weddings - they
are times of such happiness and hopes and reams for the future!
