dumb user question...Some one on one Windows 95 machine set up word so 
it comes up with no menubar and no toolbars...I have deinstalled and 
reinstalled it and still cannot get the bars back...What do I need to do 
This is for Office 97 Word

and select as many as you want to see.  Just the first two will give 
you the basics.

Try clicking the right mouse button (or left, if your mouse is set up to be 
left-handed) on various parts of the Word window.  You should get a pop-up
menu somewhere that will get you to Toolbars.

Have been trying that...no luck all I get is page settings...nothing that 
even remotely gives me view pulldowns..I have no pulldowns what so ever
If I knew what ini file it was using to run it this way I would change it

I'd suggest re-installing from a local \tools area ... you'll have to 
contact your CS/IT group.

....I don't understand what you mean I have reinstalled office 3 times
	with no remedy
