| I just heard from one of our system managers yesterday that Digital now
does have a Microsoft Office corporate license, but now I can't remember
whether it is for Office 95 or Office 97 (or both). Maybe check with your
system support folks, and/or ask in the NOTED::WINDOWS95 conference?

| Digital does not have a corporate license for Office.
Digital has a corporate maintenance agreement. This is different than
a corporate license. That is, if you have a current license, then you
can upgrade to the latest version at no cost. However, if you don't
have a licence, then you have to purchase one. This is in place for
both Office and Windows.
* If you currently have a licence for Office Std, you can upgrade to
Office Std 97
* If you currently have a licence for Office Pro, you can upgrade to
Office Pro 97
* If you don't have a license, then you must buy one, either for Office
Pro or Office Std
* Once you have a licence, you'll be able to upgrade to the lastest
shipping version for the next six quarters (or so; I may have the
contract length wrong.) under the terms of the maintenance agreement.
* Media can be purchased for approximately USD $17.00 through the
normal MS software purchasing process. You must have a valid license
for a machine before you install the software on the machine. The kits
are also (or will be) available on file servers in various locations.
See VTX PCSOFTWARE for details.
