Conference bookie::winword

   Hi - I am having a problems inserting a picture into MS-Word (V7). The
   following is my procedure;

   In word, I pull down INSERT and select PICTURE. Inside the "Insert Picture" 
   menu, I change my file type to search *.* (there is no selection for .eps)
   After I select my .eps file, a window pops up "Convert File". Within this
   menu I can select many files to convert from (eg. .bmp, .emf, .wmf, .gif,
   .tif, .jpeg, .wpg, .pct). There is no selection for .eps !!! If I select
   any other file type I receive an error, "This file was not recognized by the
   specific graphics filter 'filename'"

   I understand why it has this error *BUT* can someone explain HOW I can
   insert .eps files into WORD. I have TONS of .eps files that need to go into 
   a document.

   ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.........

RE .5 - Sounds like you don't have the EPS filter installed. 
"Encapsulated PostScript (*.eps)" shows up as an option for me in Insert
Picture.  (If you search for "postscript" in the Word help, you'll eventually 
find a topic about the graphic formats/filters it supports, and EPS is one of 
them...)

Try running Word (or Office) Setup and make sure you select the EPS filter.

   That is the problem. I did a "Typical" load at work and a "Custom" load
   on my home system. The Home system has all the filters. Thanx for the
   help.......
