Just got in this notesfile; a late reply but someone might find it
    useful...

I've been doing business with Stewart-MacDonald for the past year and a
half. Their catalog has a LOT of neat stuff for string instruments
(guitar, bass, fiddle, mandolin, banjo, dulcimer), luthiers and people
who just want to find out about said instruments.

    Address and phone:

    Stewart MacDonald's Guitar Supply Shop
    21 N. Shafer Street
    Box 900
    Athens OH 45701

Last year I ordered parts for my Telecaster clone and my wife's
electric bass. The salesperson I talked to was VERY courteous and
helpful, even though I was ordering from a three-year old catalog.
I used my plastic and got my stuff in three DAYS (!)

Since then, I've ordered additional parts for Betty's bass and Schaller
tuning keys for my Strat. Again, their service was FAST and the
gear was first class! I *highly* recommend them!

P.S. One possible caveat - their minimum order is $30 - but, if you're
like me, you won't have ANY trouble finding thirty bucks' worth of
stuff you want to get ;^)
