778.0. "namesake is back" by FRICK::DBEVERIDGE (MRO3) Fri Aug 16 1991 15:33

              The cast of namesake:

              kirk baggs- guitar
              bob crehan- guitar
              mike paquin- drums
              gregg pulisciano- bass
              tonya siniawski- vocals

Namesake is a worcester based band. We have been around
for a little over a year now and have a pretty decent sounding demo.
One of our major influances is queensryche, then on down the line to
iron maiden, anthrax, you get the point. I'll post our gigs in note
"22". Well, gotta go. reply if you have any questions about anything.

Too bad we (pete & namesake)had musical
differences, he is a killer drummer!!!
He helped us alot with quite a few tunes.

Good luck to pete and his new band. Hope
to see some of you metal heads at some of
                    our shows.(posted in file 22)

I thought you guys (and girl) sounded great last night at Sir Morgans
Cove! I like the way the songs gradually changed rhythm from slow to
fast and back again! Your singer sounds kind of like Doro Pesch. And
is certainly just as sexy! :')

It was kind of hard to understand the lyrics though a lot of the time.
I guess it was her style of singing. It fit with the look and feel of
the music though. Great voice! I liked the chorus the guitarist on
the right was using too. Sounded nice.

Namesake split up! But, Tonya & I still have the name.
So, we're looking for a guitarist or two and a killer
drummer. We want to be heavier than the old Namesake. On
the same level as Fates Warning, Metal Church, and Dream Theater.
Looks dont mean S*&@ to us. All we ask is that you have good
sounding gear, and that your not a lush/burn-out. If your blessed
with the gift of music, and like the kind of stuff I discribed,
    give me a call.

                                           Thanks,

WOW! I guess its been a while. I'm working over-time
tonight and just thought I'd look into the notes file to see
if anybody replied. Well, I'm back playing guitar, and like
it much better than bass. Just picked up brandy new guitar
gear last friday ($2,600 ouch!). I got a Marshall valve state
stack, Ibanez flame maple axe, and a Digitech 256XL effects
processor. The stuff sounds great! Tonya and I are writting
songs and searching for the right people to hook-up with.
We have a couple guitarists in mind but no bassist
or drummer yet. If any one wants to contact me, feel free
    and call me at home.
