    I've lots of sh*t 4sale.  Too bad I just got back from Michigan and 
    Chicago Deathfest over the weekend..  There is Milwaukee Metalfest 
    toward to the end of July with 100 bands.  And one in Germany around 
    June with God Venom re-union.  I think they try to get Venom to 
    Milwaukee this year, still up in the air.  Also another Deathfest will 
    be either in Toledo or Michigan again.

Is death metal about. like, ummm, Death?

    hey guys! i'm a knew guy in digital that would enjoy talking about
    brutal death metal groups. did you guys here the new deicide album? it
    has to be the most brutal and barbaric album i've heard.... how lovely
    to my ears. plse reply the caco-daemon.

      I'm not really a huge death metal fan but I play one on TV.
    Have you ever heard of a death metal band called Crucifer ?  They 
    were (I believe they broke up many moons ago) a group of 3 long haired
    guys from Virginia.  I actually used to be the drummer when I
    was in high school.  Just curious to know if you'd heard of them.
    Their last CD out was Pictures from Heaven or something like that.
    I forget what label they were on...

    yeah, cannibal corpse is great! it's nice to see there's someone else
    out there who listens to this kind of music. we're amongst few in a big
    crowd. i've seen deicide in montreal when they did there "legion" tour.
    AMAZINGLY VIOLENT! i've also seen vader,dismember and suffocation in
    montreal and they we're just great.  do you have any info. on the date
    of the new "cannibal" album ? i can't wait.

    -Dle seems to have a real "in" on the death/black metal scene

    Is there any way i can reach daemon le may or another note where he can
    be reached? (no offense) but sax just does'nt cut it in my book. this
    way i won't be bothering you people with dismemebering bodies and
    scattering internal organs stuff. sorry , just schizophrenia acting up

    know how well you came across with the way some of these bands sound,
    or at least the vocalist/singer (if you can call them that). I like
    some pretty hard stuff on occasion, but prefer the slower/heavier end
    of it, and I like to be able to understand what they are singing
    about. Not that I am into dismembering animals and such.....

    motorhead, metallica etc... but i am more in the death scene. i do
    agree with you that some groups you can't understand a damn word
    ex:broken hope. Let me tell ya' i hope they break it soon... this stuff
    is incomprehensible and by the way, I don't dismember animals,  I'm
    just the guy the deliver's the cats to the local chinese buffet. yuk!

I like Slayer, Forbidden, Coroner, Kreator, Toxik, Re-Animator etc. I haven't
yet succeeded to enjoy death metal. I've tried Paradise Lost (early stuff),
Obituary (can't stand the voice), Nocturnus, Evil Dead, Candlemass and Bathory
but none impressed me overall very much. Hardcore is not my cup of tea either.

Re. liver

Chicken liver cooked with mushrooms and a bit of butter is quite tasty.

And "Foie gras" (raw goose "fat" liver) is really delicious.

And don't forget the fish liver oil !! (beurk !) :-)

    Especially venison liver.  Yum!  Apparently I've got odd tastes,
    because I also like (in no particular order) sushi, grits, lima 
    beans, and Jane from Melrose Place.

    as they say "differnet strokes for different folks" and i must say your
    tastebuds are very different compared to others.
    
    but hey! some kid's eat there booger's and they seem to like the stuff so
    who are we to judge.

	I luv beef liver loaded with onions and A1 sauce, high in cholesterol

    	I love death metal, but I rarely touch liver. Not among my favorite
    meals, although I like the stomach, guts, brains and things like that.
    My mother used to cook liver and onions, and it was ok.
    
    	Dave: Make sure you check with Dle for dates on bands playing
    Montreal. He has mailed me sometimes that bands are playing at 19:00
    the same day he mails it to me! I can't make it, but you sure can.
    You're only 2 hours away and I'm 10 hours away.
    
    	

    
    Doesn't Machine Head have their own title? I have "Burn my eyes" which
    I just received latter part of last week. It is ok from what I have
    listened to so far. Check out Paradise Lost "Shades of God" for some
    heavy stuff also. I still have to look for Theatre(sp) of Tragedy which
    I think Newbury Comics has, I'd like to listen first if I could,  but
    may take the plunge anyways. I am waiting to see if Sorin has gotten it
