| L.O.A is a band from brooklyn-NYC but does't sound like the other NYC
bands they just released there new album - UGLY , which i realy listen
to every free minute .. its a very melodic and "dark" album . 11 songs
+ the cover version of DON'T YOU(forget about me) which sound better
than the org. there first album is called THE RIVER RUNS RED !
albums out on ROADRUNNER - UGLY comes in a limited metall-case edition
+2 bonus trax (total of 14 songs)
on tour now in europe

| I heard about these guys from a friend about 2 months ago, but
have yet to hear them. My friend compared them to White Zombie,
is that a fair comparision?

| well the voice is totally different to white zombie but there is
a connection to the old white zombie songs, to me the new white zombie
(astro creep 2000) sounds different.

| I finally got to listen to "Ugly" the other day thanks to Bobby T and
he got a chance to listen to "The River Runs Red" thanks to me.
"Ugly" is pretty cool and may take a couple of times to listen to
before I truely give it a fair critique. The cover of "Don't You
(Forget about me)" is done IMHO way better than the original. Many of
the tunes can get rather depressing due to his crappy childhood!(Ya ya
get in line!)
If you need a comparison to another band, that band would be "Tool"
but not as good.

| LOA are really big in germany , on there last tour tey had 10 shows
here, all sold out
