1021.0. "Searching for song" by CAPNET::PJOHNSON (aut disce, aut discede) Fri Jul 15 1994 10:49

I hope this is an appropriate conference to ask ...

There is a song that was done by Z. Z. Top that I'd like to know the
name of so I can buy an album with it on it. It's not new, I know
that. It starts out with rather soft drumming, almost sounds like on a
tabletop, guitar starts, then a single vocal (wish I could remember
some of the words but can't), and builds to a driving rock 'n roll
classic.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Pete

    	That'd be "La Grange".

"Just let me know, if you wanna go,
to that home out on la grange.
They got a lotta nice girls!"

On the "El Loco" album, if I remember correctly, or just wimp
out and buy the greatest hits.

I disagree Ian, I heard it and thought it was a live recording of Cream. I
thought it sounded pretty good.

"Well it's dirty job but someone's gotta do it.....We care alot"

I should know this........monday morning brain death syndrome.

Thanks! ya' know I had quessed that but I knew there was something
different about the band. I saw them at a 'BCN lunch time concert
at Edible Rex sometime in the mid 80's and still didn't put the
       2 bands together.
