    Hey /K (with a capitol letter)  8^)

    What's rockin in Japan?? Hope you enjoy the Metallica show. I'm
    aslo curious to know what's HOT in Japan these days?!

    What about Loudness (Akira Takasaki)?? They have pretty much died
    off here in the USA ever since their original singer, Minoru Nikihara
    left the band. Are they still popular in Japan??

    Oh, and on the subject of roller coasters, have you rode the BANDIT
    or the MOONSLAUGHT SCRAMBLE??  8^)

 In Japan, Hard Rock was popular from old time.
           ~~~~|~~~~
               +---> Do you know mean ?   Like a Deep Purple ( very old ... )
					   but I like Zep. !
 Now, Young generation likes Guns'n Roses. ( I think ... )
 but old(?) generation ( It's me, 30 years old ) like too.
 Because, They remind 70's music.
 They have come to Japan on JAN '93 & FEB '92, but this year's concert is not
 satisfied.  Last year's concert was best performance for me.
 By the way, Do you know japanese band X ?
 I like them especially in many many japanese band.
 Their sound is very heavy ( but not metal....Japanese taste ).
 Rumor has it that X go to U.S, and playing & album release. (like Loudness).
 *I think* they will not popular in U.S.  Because different from Amercan taste.
 /K.Tanaka ... Sorry, my English is high school English (very poor)
               and I like Metallica's album "...And Justice For All...".
   Uuuuh, *I think* that not popular....(?)
   And I don't know why 'Shounen knife' is popular in U.S .
                             -> Do you know ?
    I've read about them, but I have not heard their music.  True, they
    may not "make it" here in U.S. if they are too different, but I've
    heard some Japanese rock music, and I really dig it cuz it's so
    different sounding (fresh).
    I saw this Japanese rock band on a TV show once -- I wish I could
    remember their name.  It was a 3-person band -- female lead
    singer/bassist, female keyboardist, and male drummer.  The drummer
    and the lead singer/bassist dated each other.  I forget the band
    name, but it was named afetr some ancient Japanese legend, and the
    female lead singer "played" the legend in the band (apparently, the
    legend was about a female warrior who had magical powers).  Do you
    know what band I am referring to??
    I really loved what I heard from this band, and was wondering if they
    had any music released on album/CD??
    re: X
    I seriously doubt they'd be able to release anything over here without
    changing their name.  There's been a band called "X" that's been
    putting out records for at least 12+ years here already.  They're a
    punk/rockabilly type band and came from somewhere in California.
