845.0. "New Blood" by NEWOA::DALLISON () Wed May 20 1992 06:54

This is another band I'm doing 'on the side'.

Its not metal but it is rock. The line up is :-

Alex Flynn (Stiff Kitty) - Vocals
Mike 'Chic' Churchill (Ten Years After, UFO) - Keyboards
Rick Lee (Ten Years After) - Drums
Tony Dallison (Stiff Kitty) - Guitars
    ?????????? - Bass

We're looking for a bass player at the moment. The music is Alannah
Miles/ZZ Tops blues rock. This doesn't interfere whatsoever with Stiff
Kitty - this is just some fun with a few 'old-timers', but we will be
    gigging/recording.

Dare I ask how you got involved with a couple of the members of
    	Ten Years After?

    	[Regardless, congratulations!!]

    Tony,

Chick Churchill played on UFO's "Force It" did he not? Does he
stack his keyboards on a zimmer frame?

    barry.

They got hold of our demo, liked it and then tried to 'poach' us for
their band. We said we'd "work" with them if it didn't interfere with
    Stiff Kitty.

Yeah, They are 'getting on a bit', but they still have a RnR attitude
and they intend letting us young 'uns (ie the New Blood) take centre
    stage.

They have obtained three songs from a publishing company to release
commercially and are negotiating with Chrsalysis (sp?).

All the above is "Pie in the Sky" and I'm just gonna sit back and see
if it happens but we've both passed the audition already.

I'm being *very* cautious and not getting too worked up. Yet.

You are working with two members of a band that I have always had
VERY high regard for. The other day I was wondering what these chaps were up
to (bought on by listening to an VERY old TYA album).

Are you planning any gigs? Sessions?

Keith.

*If* it comes off (which I am hoping it does) we'll be playing some
blues festivals in Europe (France, Germany, Spain and Italy so far). I'm
not sure about gigs over here though.

    Keep yer pinkies crossed.
