Nugent kicks lethal a*s. I'll be looking for the CD. It's been 16 years
since Ted has been in a band that didn't have his last name. It was the
Amboy Dukes and before that it was the Lourds. Were talkin early 60's.

Oh yeah, I kept meaning to enter a note about this....

I've heard the single a few times now, its called "Coming Of Age". Not too
bad, actaully. Reminds me more of Nightranger than Styx or Nugent.

Only complaint - the lyrics are totally cliched!

"If looks could kill, I'd be dead on the floor
You got me all tied up, and beggin' for more"

and it just goes on for more drivel. But the song is pretty catchy, and it
sorta does a slow-burn. Rocks without being a real out-and-out rocker...

I got the CD last night! I LIKE IT!!!! I don't remember the title,
but track #2 ROCKS! So does "Piledriver"! There are a couple of
slower tunes that reminded me of "Crystal Ball" by STYX. Hmmmm, I
    wonder why?

PS Styx is getting back together incase you didn't know; They won't
    be the same without Tommy!

I just bought the CD (mostly cuz I loved Night Ranger and
Jack Blades and thought Ted was cooz and used to listen to
Styx in Junior High). But I really like it. There are
some great licks and good vocals but mostly "stupid" rock
and roll lyrics. I don't mean that in a bad way, either.
They're just good basic rock tunes. I'd give it an 8 for
	dance-ability, Dick!

After one listen, I kinda like it ... but I do have to
listen at least a couple more times.

    	First impressions:

Some of it's kind of slower than I expected it to be ...
I wish there were more songs like "Piledriver" on it.

The guitar work is good - who play most of the lead? I
    	think it's Nugent.

I've always liked Tommy's voice, so him doing most of the
    	lead vocals is good.

The song "High Enough" has the best harmony on the tape. It's a mellow
    tune,but I like it.I agree about "Piledriver".....The tape needs a few
    more songs like that one.

                              R.B.

Nugent has always been one of my favorites. Having seen him live several

excellent stage shows!

I think Ted does do a lot of solos but he's not THE lead player. Tommy
can definitely hold his own, and he does do solos as well. You can

Well I got to see the Damn Yankee's this past weekend. They split the
bill with Bad Co. Nugent is still the man. He's just as good as he ever
was. Just like old times. It was great. They played several song that
are on the new album, all the one's that made air play. They also
played a Styx song, Renagade. They played two Night Ranger songs I
believe, You Can Still Rock in America and Sister Soul (I think). They
also played a couple Nugent song, Cat Scratch Fever and Free for All.
As a group the Damn Yankee's are as good on stage as their CD. The end
of their show they had to drag Ted off the stage while he was still
playing, but he couldn't stand it and ran back out and kept playing for
a little longer. They played a total of 1&1/2 hrs. Personally I thought
they gave a better show than Bad Co. It was great.
