352.0. "Demon" by 49711::VLASIU (Try with a bigger hammer) Thu Jan 04 1990 14:20

Hello,

One year ago I've read in "Which Compact Disc" a critic about a heavy metal
band from UK, named Demon. The discussed CD was "Breakout" and it was quoted
very well (I appreciate very much Ian Kenyon's critics in WCD as beeing close
to my own taste).
Aparently this band exists since some time and was very appreciated.
I had the occasion only once to hear one of their songs in my car and it sounded
quite seventies.
The "Breakout" CD was once in the shop where I usually go, but before I read the
critics. Since then, it disapeard and I would like to hear some opinions before
eventually ordering it from import.
Recently I read another good critics in the same magazine about an older CD
(re-release) from Demon.

    Hi Sorin,

I managed to pick up Breakout at the CD library in the Hague last
weekend. Haven't had the chance to listen to it yet but I will listen
to it this weekend and bring it down for you if you are still
    interested in hearing it!

Sure I'd like, GAZ. I may bring also with me the long time promised OMC
(sorry but I was quite locked all these days). I read in time that it
was a good album (in an article by Ian Kenyon in HiFi News).

Thanx to GAZ I listened "Breakout". The album is for me so so. Much
keyboards but no special compositions. The only thing I found better is
the singer's voice. For the rest this is just one more melodic hard
    rock album.
