713.0. "METALpiece Theater [Cultural metal]" by MCIS2::AKINS (MyMistress'EyesAreNothingLikeTheSun.) Thu Oct 19 1989 08:57

After the current wave of disastors I heard talk about Armageddon, "The End
of The World" or "The Second Coming". I know that the end is probably not
near but it made me think to read up on what the bible said about the "End".
So I opened it up to Revelations and started reading.

	 Later on I was listening to OZZY and heard Revelation and listened
to the words real closely. Although he didn't quote the Bible the whole story
line is pretty much the same. I also thought about Iron Maiden's "The Number
of the Beast" which is also in the book of Revelations, and then about "The
Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner". I imagine that alot of METAL has come from
the pages of great book, poems and plays. What about Shakespear, Poe or
Dickens? Can anyone think of any "cultural" Metal?
