"American Metal" is my favorite by them ... off of the
"Terror Rising" album.
I have a couple others ... "Visual Lies" and "Menace to
Society" I think.

Oh yeah - "Terror Rising" has their cover of The Tubes'
"Don't Touch Me There".
I've never heard the original, but the cover seems to
be OK.

RE: Lizzie Borden
"American Metal" was what got me into them ... I
love that song!! And "Give 'Em the Axe" is their
second best.

You gotta like Notorious off the Menace....album! I like all the
albums so far but I haven't heard the new one. Saw the new video,
it's alright I guess, but hows the rest of the album?

637.6 | Master of Disguise is OK | KETJE::VLASIU | | Mon Mar 19 1990 11:35 | 14 |
| I just bought on saturday "Master of Disguise". It's very good. I knew
little about Lizzy Borden but the CD was at very good price with other
few albums and the usual vendor recommended it to me. What a good
surprise to discover such a great singer! The album mixes heavy metal
with some classical orchestra interventions (even a famous organ intro
from Bach) and adds also a little trumpet/sax on two rock tracks. Very
well recorded and with many guests. I recommend it well.
I liked the CD so much that today I returned to the shop to buy also
"Visual Lies" which had also an interesting price so I got both for the
price of one.
For those who don't know Lizzy, I found he has (at least on "Master..")
a voice quite close to Geoff Tate's.

I thought I kept up with this stuff; I didn't realize she was
now in a new band and of course I can't recall their name now,
Lava-something.
Any comments?

I'm obviously more confused than I thought! It reminds me of what
happened to me the other night while roaming the streets of Central
Square in Cambridge; Some (I assume) high school girls asked me for
change for a quarter but all I had was a dime so I gave it to 'em.
One of them tossed a piece of candy at me and said here's your
change. No big deal, I'll live. So I tossed it back in return
for a comment by her that showed she was in great need of a biology
class, a text book with pictures, or something.
